Director Azad
Imani Azad
Director of Transportation

Meet Director Azad

Having served as Director for six months, Imani has overseen a reconstruction of the city bus lines with a strong focus on efficiency and passenger experience. Through a hands-on, data-driven leadership style, she introduced real-time tracking and detailed shift analysis to understand passenger numbers and route demand.

Using this information, Imani has reshaped routes into two main lines that travel across the city, reducing overlap and improving coverage. She is currently leading the creation of an inner-city transport hub that will make it easier for passengers to change lines and reach their destination with minimal delay.

Her goal is to maximise the efficiency of the bus fleet, reduce travel times and ensure that Los Santos residents can rely on public transit as a fast, predictable and safe way to move around the city.

Deputy Director Harr
James Harr
Deputy Director of Transportation

Meet Deputy Director Harr

I joined the Department of Transportation in February 2025 as a Junior Bus Operator and gradually climbed the ranks to Senior Bus Operator before being promoted to Deputy Director of Transportation. I see myself as a democratic leader, always seeking input from the team on how to improve our services.

The city of Los Santos is constantly evolving, and it is essential that our transit services evolve with it. Meeting public expectations is at the core of every operational decision we make. We are currently focused on growing our driving team and preparing for the introduction of a dedicated transportation hub to future-proof the network.

The constant need to adapt brings challenges, but knowing that I have helped build a service used daily by the public is the most rewarding aspect of my role.

“Los Santos Transit” (LST) is the public-facing name used for the Department of Transportation. The name was adopted to simplify communication and improve recognition among the general public. Today, it is widely understood and represents a modern, active transit system that values accessibility and efficiency.

Operations & Network

DOT Headquarters are located in Mission Row, directly opposite the Emergency Department entrance of Pillbox Hill Medical Center. This central location makes it easier for drivers to report for duty, access vehicles and begin their routes efficiently.

Bus operators work to set timetables and routes, ensuring that vehicles are fit for service and ready for future trips. They provide information to assist passengers, oversee safe boarding and alighting and help keep every journey as smooth as possible. DOT operators also support guided bus tours that showcase the city to visitors and residents alike.

Supporting the City

When other departments or agencies across the city require transportation to and from their events, DOT allocates buses and operators to support them. Government agencies are encouraged to utilise the department for official functions, with frequent collaboration alongside the Department of Health & Welfare and other partners.

DOT drivers and operators are the backbone of not only this department, but of city life. They are held to high professional standards, ensuring that passengers remain safe and that routes are reliable and punctual. With communication and community engagement at the forefront of every decision, the department is continuously working to expand access, improve the experience of riders and keep Los Santos moving.

Whether it is a daily commute, a quick connection across town or attending an important event, the Department of Transportation works to make sure public transit is there when people need it. Through ongoing route refinement, investment in infrastructure and a commitment to public service, DOT keeps Los Santos connected.

As the city grows, DOT and Los Santos Transit will continue to evolve — building a transit network that is safe, efficient and accessible for everyone.
