Freedom of Information Request

Every individual or legal entity has the right to access official administrative documents of the City and its agencies. This right of access is exercised by explicit request and includes consultation, clarification, further information, and obtaining copies where applicable.

The Los Santos City Government supports transparency and public scrutiny. Residents are encouraged to review publicly available information and request information not already published.

All Freedom of Information requests are reviewed and handled by the Office of the City Operations Officer.

Limitations And Conditions Of Admissibility

  • Requests should clearly state the subject matter and, where possible, identify the administrative documents requested.
  • Personal information may be redacted to protect third parties and legal confidentiality obligations.
  • Access does not apply to information prepared by or for the Office of the Mayor for active proceedings or investigations.
  • Access does not apply where disclosure could harm public order and safety, criminal investigations, prosecution, city economic interests, or confidential company data.
Important: If we are unable to obtain the information easily, or the amount of work required is too great, we may not be able to gather all information requested. Extremely broad or voluminous requests may be refused.
