Department of Public Works Full-time Public Works HQ, Elgin Avenue Parking Enforcement

About the Job Position

Responsible for enforcing parking regulations in a specific area. This can include issuing tickets to vehicles that are parked illegally, such as in a no parking zone or in a spot reserved for people with disabilities. May also be responsible for directing traffic, ensuring that vehicles are parked in designated areas, and helping to maintain order in parking lots and garages. Parking Officers are the key to supporting law enforcement and civilian calls by impounding vehicles according to the penal code.

About the Salary & Paygroup

The current Junior Parking Officer wage is set at: $45,000 + bonuses.

Junior Parking Officers are assigned to Paygrade II.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

The applicant must have attained the age of 21
The applicant must have a legal address in the State of San Andreas
The applicant may not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor
The applicant must posses a current driving license and a reasonable driving record

Desired Qualifications and Experience

High School diploma (or equivalent) and 1 to less than 3 years directly related experience
No previous work experience is required. The applicant receives on-the-job training
The applicant is expected to be in good physical condition and have the ability to carry out manual labour

Essential Duties

Patrolling an area to identify parking violations,
Educating the public on Parking Penal Code,
Reporting equipment or signage issues,
Providing customer service in challenging situations

Must have a minimum of 40 hours within GTAW on any character.
For Director positions, a minimum of 100 hours within GTAW on any character is required.
If part of another faction on different characters, you must obtain permission from both your current faction and Los Santos City Government.
Request permission from the City Government HERE. This request is automatically approved but must still be submitted.
If part of another faction on the same character, you must obtain permission from both factions to apply.
Request permission from the Los Santos City Government HERE. Approval from Government faction leadership is required.
After both factions approve the request, permission must also be obtained from Legal Faction Management (LFM) HERE.
Applicants must demonstrate the ability to accurately portray a City of Los Santos employee in accordance with faction standards and roleplay expectations.
Applicants must notify the Department of Personnel of any OOC circumstances requiring modification to their application information, including backstory or administrative record changes.
