Department of Cultural Affairs Full-time City Hall, Carcer Way

About the Job Position

Under the supervision of the Director, you'll be supporting them in ensuring the department delivers on our promises, ensuring staff training is being completed and that the department is running smoothly. You'll be responsible for supervising the department, supporting the welfare of the team and supporting in tasks.

You'll also be required to update personnel records and manuals to ensure all records remain up to date. From time to time you may be required to assist with recruitment and in the field where required. You'll attend and host meetings within the department and with external agencies where required. You'll support with the monthly meeting, providing statistics and department updates to our teams.

You'll be required to review award requests and request bonus requests for employees going above and beyond. Furthermore, you will be responsible for drafting ideas for a restructure/rebrand for the department alongside the Director.

About the Department

The Department of Cultural Affairs' main area of activity is the development of culture and cultural education in the Los Santos metropolitan area. With an especially strong focus on young and up-and-coming artists, the Department breathes life into the cultural scene of Los Santos, supporting literature, performing arts and visual arts whilst raising public awareness regarding art, its history - including art's continuous effect on Los Santos - and how it influenced our methods of interpersonal communication.

About the Salary & Paygroup

  • The current Deputy Director of Cultural Affairs wage is set at: $95,000 + bonuses.
  • A supportive, consolidated and dynamic team environment.
  • Department / Office Deputy Directors are assigned to Paygrade XII.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • The applicant must have attained the age of 28.
  • The applicant must have a legal address in the State of San Andreas.
  • The applicant may not have been convicted of any felonies and/or misdemeanors.
  • The applicant must possess a current driving license and a reasonable driving record.
  • Computer systems, interfaces, and data warehousing.
  • Ability to maintain activity and up-to-date posting with the Public Works Director in regards to assigned tasks and duties.
  • Effective communication and ability to fully maintain a human resources program from recruitment to training.
  • University Degree (or equivalent) and 1 to less than 3 years directly related experience.
  • Must have previous experience in management.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of increasingly responsible administrative and supervisory experience.
  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Cultural Studies, Anthropology, Sociology or a related field.

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged periods of time; operate office equipment.
  • Standard office setting; exposure to computer screens.
  • See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
  • Being able to prioritise tasks and workload as it builds up over time.
  • Creative thinking; thinking outside the box, drafting ideas for the department, its vision and its progression.
