Event & Film Permits

Request Approval for Events & Productions

The Los Santos City Government offers permits to ensure public safety and the smooth operation of events and productions held within the city. It is the applicant’s responsibility to obtain any required permits at least two (2) weeks in advance of the event or production.

Available Permits

Special Event Permit — required for any event held in or on public property. This includes marathons, fairs, parades, parties and similar activities.
Film Production Permit — required for film, TV or commercial productions making use of public locations in Los Santos.
Movie Weapons Permit — required when a production uses firearms, including prop firearms loaded with blanks.
A Movie Weapons Permit can be applied for once your Film Production Permit has been approved.

Important Information

Failure to submit a permit request in time may result in denial.
Changes to approved plans (schedules, locations, scope) must be communicated via e-mail.
Operating without a permit may lead to fines, legal consequences or event/production closure.

Permit Review Process

Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the relevant department (DOCA or City Operations) to ensure it meets safety, logistics and policy requirements.

You may be contacted for clarification or adjustments before a final decision is made.

Tips for a Smooth Approval

Provide clear dates, locations, and descriptions. Include realistic attendance figures and accurate contact details.

Submitting detailed information up front reduces delays and makes it easier for the City to support your event or production.
