Report a Business

The Department of Finance (DoF) allows residents to report businesses that may be operating illegally, unsafely, or in breach of City regulations. This includes concerns around licensing, unsafe working practices, fraudulent activity, or serious breaches of public trust.

This form is not for routine customer service complaints or minor disputes over refunds. Misuse of this service may result in you being restricted from submitting further reports.

Criteria

  • Your report should relate to a business operating within the City of Los Santos.
  • The concern should involve potential illegality, serious safety issues, or regulatory breaches.
  • You should provide as much factual information as possible, including dates, times and what you witnessed.
  • This form is not a replacement for calling 911 in an emergency; please contact emergency services where required.

Minimum Requirements

  • You must provide the business name (or best known name).
  • You must select the most appropriate reason for your report.
  • You must give a clear description of what has happened and why you believe it is a concern.

Method of Review

  1. Submit your Report – You provide details of the business and your concerns.
  2. Initial Screening – DoF staff review the report to ensure it meets criteria and may request further information.
  3. Investigation / Outcome – Where appropriate, the report is linked to a registered business and investigated, and action may be taken in line with City policy.

You must be logged in to submit a business report.

Appropriate Use

This form should be used for serious concerns such as unlicensed activity, unsafe premises, exploitation of workers, or financial misconduct. For minor customer service issues, please raise your concern directly with the business.

Emergencies

If you believe there is an immediate risk to life or serious crime in progress, contact 911 instead of using this form. You may still submit a report here afterwards for regulatory follow-up.
