Sacred Heart Shelter
General Information
Mission Row's Sacred Heart Homeless Shelter is a community-focused initiative under the Department of Health and Welfare. It is dedicated to providing support and resources to individuals experiencing homelessness. With full collaboration from local law enforcement and community partners, the shelter offers essential services such as meals, laundry services, job search assistance, and financial aid.
In addition to the immediate relief the shelter's services provide, the staff works to create long-term solutions through the city's Affordable Housing Program, helping individuals transition into rent-controlled apartments tailored to their financial situation. The shelter plays a very vital role in helping people get off the streets and find the support they need to get back on their feet.

The team at Sacred Heart is deeply involved in community development efforts through initiatives like the Hope Kit, which supplies essential goods to those in need, and the Hoping to Hired Pathway events, which connect individuals with job opportunities. Sacred Heart Homeless Shelter aims to empower individuals, foster hope, and provide a pathway to a brighter future. If you or anyone you know have found yourself in need of help, you can find the Sacred Hearts Shelter on Little Bighorn Avenue in Mission Row, or if you walk down past the left-hand side of the Police Department when facing it, and take a left, it is the first door on that row of buildings.
